Awana Registration Q&A

Q.1: I would like my child to join the CBCGB Awana program. What should I do?
A: We welcome your child to join our Awana program at CBCGB. You can register online at any time and we will inform you that either your child has been successfully registered or put on our waiting list (and will inform you later when space becomes available). All child participates in any children’s program in CBCGB will also need to complete a CBCGB child Registration Form once a year.

Q.2: Payment and purchase
A: All registered Awana clubbers are required to have his/her own uniform and book. Registration fee payment and book/uniform purchase will take place 2 weeks prior to the beginning of our program. We strongly encourage you to do so at that time to avoid long lines on opening day. You can make purchase between 7:45-8:00 during regular Awana nights. We do provide scholarship, and no child will be denied to our program due to financial reason.

Q.3: For registered clubbers - where do I go when I bring my child to CBCGB on Fridays?
Please come with your child to the first floor of our church. The check-in time for Awana is between 7:30pm and 7:45pm, and the space may be given to another child if your child arrives after 8:10pm. Every week when you come, please sign your child in on our check-in system, and sign out when you pick him/her up at 9:45pm. For the safety of your child, we require one parent/guardian to be on-site while your child is in our program. We invite you to join any one of our fellowship groups. Exceptions will be made on a case by case basis.

Q.4: What should I do if my child cannot come regularly on Friday nights?
A: Awana is a Bible learning program for kids. Clubbers and parents commitment is the key to success. We strongly recommend that you review all related CBCGB and Awana policies before signing up your child and plan your Friday night activities accordingly. We appreciate a courtesy notice if he/she cannot come. If a child is absent for three consecutive weeks without notice, we will consider it as an automatic withdrawal, and the space will be given to the next child on our wait list.
Q.4: Will I get refund if my child is withdrawn from the Awana program?
A: For the registration fee, we will provide full refund before the opening day, half refund before the end of December, and no refund thereafter. We will also provide full refund on any books and uniforms if they are returned in brand new conditions.

Q.5: I am a visitor to CBCGB’s Friday night fellowship group. Can my child join Awana for that night?
A: We welcome your child to join our Awana program for one night if there is opening in his/her class. Otherwise, we will put him/her on our wait list for that night, and ask that you take him/her to the fellowship group that you are attending. If some children in that class don't show up by 8:10pm, we will invite the children on our wait list according to their order of arrival. If your child is invited to join, you will need to complete a Child Registration Form and follow the check-in procedure as mentioned in Q.3. If you would like to have your child join our program regularly, you can go through the online registration as explained in Q.1.
